Privacy Policy

AIRI Calendar ("the app") is a personal desktop build of the open-source Project AIRI AI companion, run on its owner's own computer. This policy explains what data the app accesses through Google APIs and how it is handled.

1. Google data the app accesses

After you press Connect and grant consent, the app requests these Google OAuth scopes:

• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events: to create, read and delete calendar events and their reminders when you ask for it.
• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.readonly: to read the list and settings of your calendars (for example, the calendar name and time zone).

The app does not access Gmail, Contacts, Drive or any other Google service.

2. How the data is used

• Calendar data is accessed only in response to your own request in a conversation, such as "remind me tomorrow at 10" or "what do I have on Friday?".
• To answer such a request, the details of the relevant events (title, time, description) are passed to the AI language model provider that you configured in the app (for example, Google Gemini). If voice output is enabled, the spoken reply is sent to the text-to-speech provider you configured (for example, ElevenLabs). These providers process the data under their own privacy policies.
• Google data is not sold, not used for advertising, and not used to train AI models by the app.

3. Storage and security

• OAuth tokens are stored only on your computer, encrypted with the operating system's secure storage when available.
• The app has no backend server of its own. No calendar data is collected or kept by the app's author.
• Conversation history, which may include event details you discussed, is stored locally on your computer.

4. Sharing

Google data is shared only with the AI and voice providers you configured, as described in section 2, and only to fulfil your request. It is not transferred to anyone else, except where required by law.

5. Your control

• Disconnect at any time with Disconnect in the app settings. This deletes the stored tokens and revokes access.
• You can also revoke access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
• Deleting the app data removes all locally stored tokens and conversation history.

6. Google API Services User Data Policy

The app's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

7. Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
